Business Development Manager (Washington, DC)

Description

The ideal candidate will have proven track record of solution sales, ideally to those within the C-Suite. The candidate must have the ability to prioritize responsibilities, meet reasonable deadlines, and collaborate with subject matter experts to drive the overall sales process.

  1. Creation and organization of relational databases to enable efficient service delivery
  2. Creation of application interfaces for Ecosave personnel and clients to interact with Ecosave databases
  3. Development of applications that relate to all constructed databases
  4. Develop connectors to allow for databases to be populated from third-party APIs

PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

  1. Report to Director of Utility Management Services (UMS)
  2. Support the service delivery team in overseeing the maintenance and security of all company databases
  3. Understand the importance of database integrity regarding the architecture, security, efficiency, and maintenance of the design
  4. Utilize existing software program SkySpark, which uses a Python-like programming language
  5. Design and implement databases and associated processes
  6. Understand the full range of Ecosave’s energy management offerings and their applications in customer solutions
  7. Manage all databases across multiple environments for various stages of Software Development Life Cycle
  8. Develop applications and carry out routine security and performance checks
  9. Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
  10. Research and monitor design and performance improvements across database architectures and application development
  11. Identify performance issues and develop mitigation strategies to resolve any bottlenecks in the database
  12. Create connections to external APIs to pull data into Ecosave development databases
  13. Take lead role on developing documentation around existing database architecture, along with any new database architecture created
  14. Be self-motivated and possess the ability to work independently with minimum supervision
  15. Be able to receive constructive feedback and work with the Service team to tailor database needs to achieve a higher level of functionality
  16. Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or relevant experience
  • 3 – 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience with relational, non-relational databases, and REST APIs are a requirements of the role
  • Extensive knowledge of SQL, Python, and API setup/management
  • Knowledge of data backup, data security, and data recovery techniques
  • Previous experience with DBA case tools (front-end/back-end) and third-party tools
  • Ability to think logically and algorithmically in relation to database design, documentation, and coding
  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
  • Strong command of the English language; spoken, written, and presentational forms
  • Strong command of Excel, Word, Adobe, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other relevant business software
