Senior Financial Planning Analyst

Position Summary

The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will support Ecosave’s growing in-house finance department to deliver seamless, fully funded energy projects to our customers. This individual will support the successful financing of our projects, while implementing project finance best practices and cutting-edge funding structures.  The Senior Financial Planning Analyst will access financial markets and identify solutions to any issues that may arise, all while preparing reports for management on the company’s financial status to enable sound decision making about future investments, financing, and budgets accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Driving the financial planning of the company by analyzing its performance and risks
  • Retaining constant awareness of the company’s financial position and acting to prevent problems
  • Conduct analysis to make forecasts and report to upper executives
  • Ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines
  • Prepare all documents associated with securing project financing for energy efficiency and distributed generation customers.
  • Gather and present company and customer due diligence information.
  • Review and interpret loan documents with various lenders and investors.
  • Compile and submit monthly loan draw requisitions to lenders throughout project construction phase.
  • Process monthly client invoices or financed projects during the construction period.
  • Interface with the Accounting department to ensure all loan information is disseminated to internal stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Assist in loan covenant compliance management.
  • Assist in securing new sources of project finance.
  • Assist with or build loan amortization schedules, analyze loan portfolio data.
  • Prepare energy impact report documentation for lenders.
  • Assist relationship development with new lenders in order to secure new sources of finance.
  • Contribute to continuous loan processing and general systems improvement to create efficiencies within the department.

Qualifications, Experience and Skills

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or relevant field is required.
  • Graduate degree preferred.
  • CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in process optimization, operations or business management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively relay critical information.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated application of
  • Company Knowledge – Understands how the functions integrate within Ecosave and the strategic concept behind corporate goals.

Skills

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data, including complex financial modeling.
  • Proficient use of MS Office suite – Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Minimum Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills are a requirement of this role.
  • Ability to read and review contract documents.
