Position Summary
The Engineering Coordinator is the control point for Ecosave’s project development process, responsible for enforcing stage progression, ensuring completeness of inputs, and driving predictable, on-time delivery of engineering milestones.
This role owns process integrity across all development stages (Assessment → Service), eliminating ambiguity around project status, preventing incomplete handoffs, and ensuring that no work advances without meeting defined requirements.
Success in this role means:
- Clear, agreed-upon delivery dates across all active projects
- Absolute visibility into project stage and status
- Zero circumvention of the defined development process
This is a high-accountability role with full authority to stop progress when requirements are not met.
Core Responsibilities
Process Ownership & Enforcement
- Own and enforce adherence to the Ecosave development process across all stages
- Only permit stage advancement when required inputs, documentation, or approvals are complete
- Eliminate ambiguity by ensuring every project has a clearly defined and agreed-upon stage
- Identify and close gaps in process compliance across Sales, Project Developers, Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, M&V, and Incentives
Stage Gate Management
- Define, track, and enforce stage entry and exit criteria for all projects
- Ensure all required customer inputs, technical data, and internal deliverables are complete before progression
- Prevent downstream inefficiencies by enforcing upstream discipline
Project Visibility & Reporting
- Maintain real-time accuracy of project status and information across systems (SAP, Salesforce, shared tools)
- Deliver consistent, reliable reporting on project stage, risks, and upcoming milestones
- Highlight bottlenecks, missing inputs, and risks to schedule
Cross-Functional Coordination
- Drive alignment between:
- Project Developers
- Engineering teams
- M&V and Incentives teams
- Peer Coordinators (Sales and Construction/Service)
- Ensure seamless handoffs between development, sales, and execution phases
- Other necessary stakeholders
Engineering & Documentation Control
- Track and manage all engineering deliverables, design packages, and technical documentation
- Ensure version control and completeness of all project documentation
- Coordinate design reviews, submissions, and partner deliverables
External Partner Management
- Coordinate with third-party engineering partners to ensure scope clarity and on-time delivery
- Track deliverables, enforce timelines, and support invoice and approval workflows
Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring process breakdowns and implement corrective actions
- Support standardization of workflows, templates, and documentation requirements
- Contribute to ongoing process refinement and scalability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
- 2–5 years’ experience in engineering coordination, project support, or construction administration.
- Proficiency in Salesforce, SAP, MS Office, SharePoint, and ERP/CRM systems.
- Excellent organization, follow-up, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
