Engineering Coordinator

Location: Philadelphia, PA

Description

Position Summary

The Engineering Coordinator is the control point for Ecosave’s project development process, responsible for enforcing stage progression, ensuring completeness of inputs, and driving predictable, on-time delivery of engineering milestones.

This role owns process integrity across all development stages (Assessment → Service), eliminating ambiguity around project status, preventing incomplete handoffs, and ensuring that no work advances without meeting defined requirements.

Success in this role means:

  • Clear, agreed-upon delivery dates across all active projects
  • Absolute visibility into project stage and status
  • Zero circumvention of the defined development process

This is a high-accountability role with full authority to stop progress when requirements are not met.

  • Eliminate ambiguity by ensuring every project has a clearly defined and agreed-upon stage
  • Identify and close gaps in process compliance across Sales, Project Developers, Engineers, Estimators, Project Managers, M&V, and Incentives

Stage Gate Management

  • Define, track, and enforce stage entry and exit criteria for all projects
  • Ensure all required customer inputs, technical data, and internal deliverables are complete before progression
  • Prevent downstream inefficiencies by enforcing upstream discipline

Project Visibility & Reporting

  • Maintain real-time accuracy of project status and information across systems (SAP, Salesforce, shared tools)
  • Deliver consistent, reliable reporting on project stage, risks, and upcoming milestones
  • Highlight bottlenecks, missing inputs, and risks to schedule

    • Other necessary stakeholders

Engineering & Documentation Control

  • Track and manage all engineering deliverables, design packages, and technical documentation
  • Ensure version control and completeness of all project documentation
  • Coordinate design reviews, submissions, and partner deliverables

External Partner Management

  • Coordinate with third-party engineering partners to ensure scope clarity and on-time delivery
  • Track deliverables, enforce timelines, and support invoice and approval workflows

Continuous Improvement

  • Support standardization of workflows, templates, and documentation requirements
  • Contribute to ongoing process refinement and scalability

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
